This interdiciplinary conference will be of value to all those involved in antenatal, perinatal and eary years areas, from universal to intensive levels of need.
The programme will include:
*The significance of the antenatal and perinatal period for child wellbeing and later development,
including the role of fathers
*Learning about antenatal programmes to support good outcomes
*Family based interventions for families who are struggling,including neonatal health difficulties and
premature babies
*Addressing the parental needs of abused and neglected children
The focus will be on the evidence of why these times are of key importance in family and child well being and what means have been found to support families and intervene effectively to improve the outcome for infants.
