Online Mellow Bumps & Dads to-be Group Training for Facilitators
Our original (face to face) Mellow Bumps & Mellow Dads-to-be antenatal group programmes are delivered in separate six week groups for mums and dads to-be with each session lasting two hours. Due to COVID 19 lockdown restrictions, many original Bumps parental groups were halted or not able to start. Ourselves and our facilitators did not want to let parents-to-be down, so in order for groups to continue we have created a new online training programme for facilitators; Online Mellow Bumps and Dad’s to -be.
Our Facilitated Online Mellow Bumps and Dads to be programme covers seven sessions, with topics and activities for the parents-to-be, their unborn baby as well as ‘Have a Go’!
The intent of these programmes is to decrease isolation and stress for parents to-be, supporting them to understand the importance of early interaction for their babies’ brain development.
Training to deliver these programmes is especially relevant to the work of midwives, health visitors, family support workers and others to support families with additional health and social care needs. Whilst the parental groups are designed to be delivered separately both mums and dads to-be are included in the same two half-day training sessions.
Interactive online training takes place on Zoom over two mornings and includes some home learning too. Should your employer not allow you to use zoom, we will send you a link to join in under our subscription.
We are pleased to offer this online training to facilitators who wish to train and deliver this online antenatal programme to parents to-be.
Upcoming dates: Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August 2020 approx 9am -12pm each day
