Training courses are delivered throughout the year in varying parts of the UK and overseas. Dates and venues are listed below. If you wish to attend an open training or arrange an in house training please contact the Mellow Parenting Office.
Certification System
Certification
Each trainee receives a Certificate stating that they have attended the three day Mellow Parenting core training programme, access to the Mellow Parenting Practitioners Discussion Forum, annual newsletter and networking opportunities by attending the annual practitioners days which are held around the UK.
Practitioner Certificates will be awarded once Practitioners have completed their first parenting group under supervision and receive recommendation from their Mellow Parenting supervisor, whether personal or on line.
Supervision
Whilst unlimited free online/email and telephone supervision is offered to all practitioners, we do highly recommend that you pursue formal supervision from Mellow Parenting.
This can be arranged at a small cost per two hour session, plus travelling. It is best to set aside either one morning or afternoon and have all your trained staff attending.
Mellow Parenting is currently in the process of setting up regional support and supervision days which any MP practitioner can attend. There will be a minimum cost involved to those who wish to attend and the days will be advertised on the website within the secure Practitioners area and also emailed to Practitioners.

Mellow Parenting offers a range of training in their programmes:
Training Materials
All trainees will receive copies of the Mellow Parenting Programme Manual, Learning to Observe Manual, coding DVDs and bags, pens, etc. Those attending Babies and Bumps training will receive a Facilitators Manual. Manuals are not a separate purchase.

Training Fees
Training fees are available upon contacting the Mellow Parenting Office.
Mellow Parenting Core programme
The core programme training runs over three consecutive days and must be completed by all those who attend in order to receive their certificate of attendance and be registered on our database as a trained practitioner.
Trainers can go to local authorities, health boards, voluntary organisations etc to train a group of up to ten staff in-house. It is preferable that your staff group has a mixture of skills i.e. group work, mental health, etc.
Alternatively trainees can attend one of the many open training courses held throughout the UK.
Mellow Babies Programme
Practitioners who have completed the three day core programme training can attend the one day Mellow Babies training course which can be delivered by our trainers within your own venue, or by attending one of our open Mellow Babies training courses held frequently throughout the UK.
Mellow Bumps
Practitioners who have completed either the core Mellow Parenting training or Solihull training are not required to undergo further training to become a Mellow Bumps facilitator.
Those who have not completed either Mellow Parenting or Solihull should attend a one day familiarisation training in Mellow Bumps. These training courses are held frequently around the UK. Please contact the Mellow Parenting Office for further information.
