This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced person to join a vibrant Scottish Charity working to promote parent child relationships from generation to generation. This post is being funded by a Scottish Government Grant until 31st March 2025. This post will contribute to the vision of Mellow Parenting: “We want every child, wherever they are in the world, to be part of a safe and nurturing family that will allow them and future generations the best possible start in life.”
We need someone who is passionate about how evaluation makes a global difference in infant, child, maternal and paternal mental health and parent child Interaction.
You should have a thorough working knowledge of both Qualtrics and Excel, and a good understanding of the importance of using evaluation measures within applied research in real life settings.
Experience of using validated assessments to measure mental health and wellbeing would be really helpful. We are looking for someone who can bring the evidence alive by making it super easy to understand and share with all stakeholders through a wide range of channels. You will work with our Team to share our evidence.

has a family of evidenced based interventions that help to improve parent-child wellbeing and relationships. Mellow also offers a number of exciting training opportunities, each designed to introduce professionals into the Mellow way of working with individual parents, children, clients and groups. We promote workforce development.
We know healthy relationships are a catalyst to positive outcomes, therefore our team is committed to improving relationships across the life span, particularly within the early years. The successful candidate will be part of our small team based in Glasgow. The post will be funded by the Scottish Government managed by Corra.
To deliver on the fund outcomes by working with practitioners, partnering organisations and key decision
makers across Scotland. To increase Mellow Parentings (MP) reach in Scotland and to re-establish MP as a recognised
parenting programme so that it is available to parents and young people in each Scottish local authority.
Key roles and responsibilities within this post will be:
Work alongside the CEO to develop a Scottish specific implementation framework.
Work alongside the CEO to achieve fund outcomes.
Reporting outcomes to funders.
Setting up regional network events and establishing Mellow Hubs.
Supporting existing Scottish Mellow practitioners with troubleshooting around group delivery and becoming
accredited.
Identify and establish new links and training opportunities to expand MP across Scotland.
Expanding awareness of use of all Mellow Programmes across Scotland.
Liaising with key stakeholders, mangers, commissioners and funders about implementing MP in their local areas.
Document and record progress (via the intranet and internal reports) towards set KPIs.
Work closely with Admin and EV teams with practitioner accreditation.
Work closely with Social Media coordinator to promote MP and share success stories.
Work closely with EV team to enhance MP Scottish evidence base
Represent Mellow at a practitioner and policy level.
Represent Mellow at key events, meetings and conferences.
Deliver training and workshops on MP.
Any other tasks identified as appropriate by line manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Have or working towards relevant degree or minimum 10 years work experience within relevant field*
Accredited Mellow Parenting practitioner
ESSENTIAL
Prior experience in delivering Mellow groups
Willingness to travel
Excellent knowledge of how the voluntary, education and social work sectors operate
Good knowledge of child development and infant/maternal/paternal/general mental health
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work well as part of a team and work to deadlines
Ability to work independently and to be directed/directing when appropriate
Ability to use computer packages such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access), web browsers and possess excellent
internet and social media skills
