What’s New?

New Partnership with Clackmannanshire Council will support local families of children with disabilities and ASN

Mellow Parenting is delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with Clackmannanshire Council to deliver the Mellow Ability programme for local families of children with disabilities and additional support needs. From January 2027, Mellow Parenting will work with the Council’s Early Help Team and Social Work Child Disability Team, alongside a third-sector partner, to deliver one Mellow Ability group each year for three years.

Building Capacity to Support Families in the Scottish Borders funded by NHS Public Services Delivery Scotland

The training will help build local capacity to offer this established parenting support programme to local families with children aged 0–5, increasing access to Mellow Growing Together groups and one-to-one interventions. This will enable parents and caregivers to access support to build and strengthen their relationships with their children.

We Are Partnering with SAMH Partner to Bring Caring for Young People at The Nook in Glasgow

The new partnership will give parents and caregivers of young people the opportunity to take part in a supportive, structured, relationship-based programme designed to promote young people’s and their caregivers’ mental health, well-being, and resilience during adolescence. Over the past few weeks, Mellow Parenting team members Stewart McLean and Juliet Sebley have had the pleasure of meeting with staff and volunteers at SAMH’s The Nook in Glasgow.

Mellow Parenting programme to be researched and implemented within Australia’s public health system

The training marks the first stage of a research and feasibility study led by Jodi Renshaw-Todd through the Clinician Researcher Training Programme at the School of Psychological Science, The University of Western Australia. The study is funded by the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund. The collaboration represents an important milestone for Mellow Parenting as its evidence-based programmes continue to gain international recognition and support families beyond Scotland. “We are delighted to be working together to help more babies, parents and families experience the benefits of safe, nurturing relationships during the earliest years of life.”
